Description

Bring spooky magic to your party with these Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries! These no-bake treats can be customized into mummies, pumpkins, ghosts, and more for any Halloween celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (washed and fully dried)
  • White, orange, red, and black candy melts
  • 12 tsp vegetable shortening or coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
  • Candy eyes
  • Sprinkles (orange, black, or themed)
  • Toothpicks
  • Parchment or wax paper
  • Tipless piping bags or ziplock bags
  • Styrofoam board (optional, for drying)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Strawberries: Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries. Insert a toothpick into each strawberry.
  2. Melt the Candy Melts: Microwave candy melts on half-power in 15–30 second bursts until smooth. If too thick, mix in ½–1 tsp shortening.
  3. Dip the Strawberries: Dip strawberries into melted chocolate, covering evenly. Shake off excess and place on parchment paper or Styrofoam to set.
  4. Create Mummy Strawberries: Dip in white candy melts, let dry, then drizzle with white chocolate for bandages and add candy eyes.
  5. Make Blood Drip Strawberries: Start with a white chocolate base, drizzle red candy melts from the top.
  6. Pumpkin & Jack-O-Lantern Strawberries: Dip in orange candy melts, let dry, then pipe black faces.
  7. Ghost & Skeleton Strawberries: Cover in white melts, pipe black faces and add candy eyes.
  8. Sprinkle & Drizzle Designs: Drizzle one color across a set chocolate strawberry and add sprinkles before it dries.

Notes

Always dry strawberries completely before dipping to ensure the chocolate sticks. It’s best to make these on the same day you plan to serve them.
