Description

A creamy and refreshing dip, perfect for any occasion, made with ripe avocados, lime juice, and more.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or leave a few chunks for texture.
  3. Add lime juice, onion, tomato, jalapeño (if using), and salt.
  4. Mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or lime juice if desired.
  6. Stir in chopped cilantro if you like a fresh herbaceous note.
  7. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or salads.

Notes

To minimize browning, store guacamole with plastic wrap directly touching the surface.
