Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Skewers (wood or metal)
Instructions
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create a flavorful teriyaki sauce.
- Thread the shrimp and pineapple onto the skewers, alternating between each.
- Brush the skewers generously with the teriyaki sauce.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the skewers for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are fully cooked and opaque.
- Serve immediately with additional teriyaki sauce for dipping.
Notes
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning. Adjust the sweetness of teriyaki sauce by varying brown sugar.
