Description

A delightful summer dessert featuring grilled peaches and cherries drizzled with a decadent cinnamon-honey syrup.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces cherries
  • 3 large peaches
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the cherries in half, removing their pits and stems. Next, slice the peaches into large chunks and discard the pits.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  3. Thread the fruit onto skewers, alternating between peaches and cherries.
  4. Grill the fruit skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and lightly charred.
  5. Carefully remove the skewers from the grill and let the fruit cool slightly.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt together the butter, honey, and cinnamon over low heat until fully combined.
  7. Drizzle the warm syrup over the grilled fruit in a bowl, gently tossing to coat.
  8. Serve the grilled fruit warm or at room temperature, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired. Drizzle any remaining syrup over the ice cream.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup. You can also use other stone fruits based on availability.
