Delicious Greek-inspired turkey meatballs served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce, perfect for summer gatherings or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
- Salt and pepper to taste (for tzatziki)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Serve the meatballs warm with a generous side of tzatziki.
Notes
For added flavor, consider serving over rice or quinoa. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
