Description

Delicious Greek-inspired turkey meatballs served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce, perfect for summer gatherings or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for tzatziki)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
  3. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  4. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Serve the meatballs warm with a generous side of tzatziki.

Notes

For added flavor, consider serving over rice or quinoa. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
