Description
An indulgent, over-the-top milkshake topped with whipped cream, a doughnut, and colorful sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 3 generous scoops (about 1 1/2 cups) vanilla ice cream
- 1/4–1/3 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (plus extra for rim)
- 1 tablespoon caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzle)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)
- 1/2 cup whipped cream (or non-dairy topping) for garnish
- 1 small glazed doughnut or large cookie (for top)
- Assorted toppings: crushed cookies, pretzels, sprinkles, mini candies, chopped nuts
- (Optional) 1–1.5 fl oz Baileys, bourbon, or Kahlúa
- (Optional) 1 tablespoon mascarpone or cream cheese
Instructions
- Chill the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes.
- Prepare the rim: stir chocolate syrup, pour it on the rim, and press into crushed cookies or sprinkles.
- Add ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup, caramel, vanilla, and salt to the blender.
- Pulse 6–10 times until the mixture is smooth and thick.
- Pour the shake into the prepared glass.
- Top with whipped cream and place the doughnut or cookie on top.
- Drizzle extra chocolate and caramel, and sprinkle toppings on the tower.
- Insert a wide straw and serve immediately.
Notes
For a thicker shake, reduce milk and use mascarpone. Best eaten right away for optimal texture.
