Description

A delightful seafood experience featuring fresh cod fillets baked in a luscious garlic butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, then remove from heat.
  4. Place the cod fillets in the greased baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the fillets.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. Serve over rice or with seasonal veggies.
