Description

Delightful French Toast Roll-Ups combining classic flavors with a fun, hand-held treat. Perfect for busy mornings or brunches.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or your choice)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 sausage links (or substitute with Nutella or cream cheese)
  • Butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Begin by flattening each slice of bread with a rolling pin until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage links over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Dip each flattened bread slice into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Place one sausage link at the edge of each slice and roll it up tightly.
  6. In the same skillet, melt a dab of butter over medium heat. Place the roll-ups seam side down and cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip and cook the other side until golden as well.
  8. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup for dipping!

Notes

Try different fillings like cream cheese or chocolate chips. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
