Description

A comforting and savory Teriyaki Turkey Rice Bowl made with ground turkey, mixed vegetables, and teriyaki sauce, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey (or chicken)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or avocado

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and sauté until tender, around 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet, stirring well to combine. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Serve the turkey mixture over a bed of rice, and garnish with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Use quinoa instead of rice for a healthier option. To store, keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
