Description

Juicy grilled chicken tacos packed with flavor and customizable toppings, perfect for casual gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Corn or flour tortillas (8-10)
  • Fresh toppings (diced onions, chopped cilantro, sliced avocado, lime wedges, salsa)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they’re well coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high.
  3. Grill the chicken: Place the marinated chicken on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Rest and slice: Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice the chicken into thin strips.
  5. Warm the tortillas: While the chicken rests, quickly warm your tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  6. Assemble the tacos: Layer the grilled chicken onto the tortillas. Top with onions, cilantro, avocado, and any other desired toppings.

Notes

Marinate the chicken overnight for enhanced flavor. Use a meat thermometer for perfect cooking.
