Description

This easy and versatile crockpot shredded chicken recipe is perfect for busy families, providing tender, flavorful chicken for countless meals with minimal prep time.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
  • 3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken, then sprinkle the seasoning salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper over the top. Stir to distribute the seasonings.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is tender.
  4. Use two forks to shred the chicken in the cooking liquid, or remove excess liquid before shredding.
  5. Use the shredded chicken immediately in your favorite recipes or let it cool for meal prep.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Can also be frozen for up to 6 months.
