Description

A simplified version of the classic pineapple upside-down cake, this dump cake is easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 box yellow or pineapple-flavored cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple, including its juice, into the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar over the layer of pineapple.
  4. Disperse the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple and sugar.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter atop the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is fully set.
  7. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, and consider adding toasted coconut or nuts for extra flavor.
