Description

Tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs with barbecue sauce, made easily in your oven without the need for a grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork baby back ribs (about 22.5 pounds)
  • 34 tablespoons grill seasoning (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite flavor)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, or liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Remove or score the thin membrane on the bone side of the ribs.
  4. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub generously with grill seasoning.
  5. Tightly cover the ribs with foil and bake for 2 to 2½ hours until tender.
  6. Unwrap the ribs, baste one side with BBQ sauce, and broil for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Flip the ribs, baste the other side, and broil 2–3 minutes again until caramelized.
  8. Let the ribs rest for 8–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For spare ribs, expect longer bake time. Use a vinegar-based sauce for a no-sugar option.
