Ingredients
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 Cup salted butter (cold, cut into small pieces)
- 3/4 Cup milk (cooled)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425° F (220° C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles small peas.
- Add the cold milk gradually, mixing with a fork until the dough is slightly sticky.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and fold it over about 10 times to create layers.
- Flatten the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.
- Arrange the biscuits on an ungreased dark baking pan.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
