A quick and simple recipe for creamy guacamole, perfect for gatherings and versatile for various occasions.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup red onions, finely chopped
- 1-2 jalapeño or serrano peppers, seeded and finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 ripe Hass avocados, halved and pitted
- 1-2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 ripe Roma tomato, seeded and chopped (optional)
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Combine the finely chopped onions, jalapeños, half of the cilantro, and salt in a medium bowl. Use a fork to lightly mash these ingredients together.
- Scoop the avocado flesh into the bowl, discarding any bruised areas, and mash to your preferred consistency.
- Stir in the remaining cilantro and lime juice. If using tomatoes, fold them in last. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice as needed.
Notes
For a variation, mix in diced mango or pineapple for a sweet twist.
