Description

Quick and delicious chicken parmesan sliders made with sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for family dinners or game nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 pack) Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 frozen chicken nuggets or tenders
  • 1 cup marinara or pasta sauce
  • 6 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter (plus more for greasing the dish)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken: Follow the package directions for the chicken nuggets or tenders and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish with butter.
  3. Prepare the rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom halves in the prepared dish and toast in the oven for about 3 minutes.
  4. Assemble the sliders: Place a cooked chicken nugget on each bottom piece. Spoon marinara sauce over them, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, and then cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  5. Flavor the butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and mix in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls. Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top too.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown.
  7. Cool and serve: Let the sliders cool for about 5 minutes. Pull them apart gently or use a sharp spatula to separate them. Serve with extra marinara for dipping!

Notes

Don’t skip the toasting step to help the rolls hold up against the sauce. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
