Description

A creamy and tangy satay sauce that enhances the flavor of grilled meats, fresh vegetables, and more, ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste or sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, coconut milk, brown sugar, lime juice, chili paste, and minced garlic.
  2. Whisk these ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the sauce, and if you prefer more heat, add additional chili paste.
  4. Serve your satay sauce as a dip with skewers or drizzled over your favorite dishes. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

For a nut-free alternative, consider using sunflower seed butter or tahini instead of peanut butter. Taste the sauce as you go to adjust heat and sweetness to your liking.
