Description

A delightful pineapple bake filled with caramelized pineapple, rich coconut, and a buttery cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of pineapple slices
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a large baking dish and arrange the pineapple slices in a single layer at the bottom.
  3. Blend the brown sugar and melted butter until well combined. Pour this mixture evenly over the pineapple slices.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped nuts on top of the pineapple and sugar mixture.
  5. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions, using the 1 1/2 cups of water.
  6. Pour the prepared cake batter over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
