Description

A quick and easy crockpot teriyaki chicken recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors for a delightful weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (optional)
  • Rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Add broccoli and bell peppers if desired.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back with the sauce.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

For a richer flavor, marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. For a vegetarian alternative, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh.
