Description

Deliciously warm cheese garlic rolls perfect for any occasion, filled with melted cheese and roasted garlic.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture alongside the melted butter.
  3. Stir until a shaggy dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, then sprinkle with minced garlic and cheese. Roll it up tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces.
  7. Lay the rolls into a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 20–30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  9. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a more intense garlic flavor, consider roasting the garlic before adding it to the roll mixture. Try different cheeses for variety!
