Description

A tantalizing twist on classic deviled eggs, these deep-fried delights are crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, making them the perfect party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs (hard-boiled and peeled)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Paprika (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the egg whites aside.
  3. Dredge the egg whites in flour, dip them in the beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the breaded egg whites in batches until they’re golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Mix the egg yolks with mayonnaise, relish, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  6. Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture into the fried egg whites, then sprinkle with paprika before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with zesty dipping sauce such as spicy mustard or ranch dressing. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
