A cute and festive vanilla bean milkshake that’s a delightful treat for any celebration, featuring real vanilla specks and a delicious cookie rim.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (approx. 450 g) premium vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup (120–180 ml) whole milk
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1–2 tbsp heavy cream or half-and-half (optional)
- 1–2 tbsp simple syrup or granulated sugar (optional)
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- Whipped cream, festive sprinkles, crushed cookies, or mini marshmallows for garnish
- Optional: small cookie or sugar rim
Instructions
- Chill two serving glasses in the freezer for 5–10 minutes.
- Prepare the vanilla: split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the seeds.
- Add the ice cream, 1/2 cup milk, vanilla seeds, heavy cream, simple syrup, and salt to the blender.
- Pulse once to break up ice cream, then blend on medium-high for 15–30 seconds until smooth.
- Check the consistency and flavor, adding more milk or sweetener as needed.
- Pour into chilled glasses, then top with whipped cream and garnish items.
