Description

This easy Crockpot Chicken & Gravy recipe uses just three simple ingredients for a perfect weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of unsalted cream of chicken soup
  • 2 (0.87 oz) envelopes of chicken gravy mix
  • ½ cup water or chicken broth (optional)
  • Hot steamed rice (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, and water (if using). Pour this mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Once the chicken is done, shred it using two forks right in the slow cooker and serve over hot steamed rice.

Notes

Feel free to add frozen vegetables during the last hour of cooking for added flavor and nutrition.
