Description

A simple yet elegant dish of roasted asparagus seasoned with garlic and topped with Parmesan cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  3. Spread the asparagus out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over the asparagus.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the asparagus is tender and the cheese is golden.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven, sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For a twist, substitute olive oil with melted butter or add lemon juice for brightness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
