Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Spread the asparagus out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over the asparagus.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the asparagus is tender and the cheese is golden.
- Once done, remove from the oven, sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For a twist, substitute olive oil with melted butter or add lemon juice for brightness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
