Ingredients
- 1 cup (200 grams) sugar
- 1/2 cup (113 grams) butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (120 grams) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (45 grams) cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup (170 grams) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and softened butter until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder, and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them to allow for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the tops are cracked.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
