Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200 grams) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (113 grams) butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (120 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (45 grams) cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (170 grams) chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and softened butter until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder, and mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them to allow for spreading.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the tops are cracked.
  8. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
