Description
Tender chicken thighs coated in a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- 5 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, patted dry
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh dill for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Sprinkle the flour over the melted garlic butter, stirring constantly until it forms a paste.
- Slowly pour in the chicken broth while whisking continuously. Stir until it thickens, then add the heavy cream.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Nestle the chicken thighs back into the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh dill, and let rest before serving.
