Description

Creamy deviled eggs are a delightful appetizer perfect for any occasion, featuring a smooth yolk mixture with mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs: Place 6 large eggs in a pot filled with cold water. Bring the pot to a boil. Cover the pot and let it sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs: Remove the eggs from the hot water and place them in an ice bath to cool.
  3. Peel and prepare: Once cooled, peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
  4. Mix the yolks: Scoop the yolks into a bowl and mash them with a fork until smooth.
  5. Combine ingredients: Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix until smooth.
  6. Fill the egg whites: Use a spoon or piping bag to fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle with paprika and add chives or parsley for an extra touch of color and flavor.
  8. Serve chilled: Place the deviled eggs on a platter and serve them cold.

Notes

For a smoother filling, blend the yolk mixture instead of mashing by hand. Store unfilled egg whites and yolk mixture separately.
