Description
An indulgent dish combining perfectly seared steak bites, creamy garlic sauce, and cheesy tortellini, ideal for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Smoked paprika, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1¼ cups shredded parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Cracked black pepper, for garnish
- Red pepper flakes, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for 3-5 minutes, until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and milk. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.
- Stir in parmesan cheese, letting it melt into the sauce until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Return the steak and tortellini to the skillet. Gently toss everything to coat in the creamy garlic sauce.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you like heat. Serve immediately!
Notes
Let your steak sit at room temperature for a better sear. Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
