Description

An indulgent dish combining perfectly seared steak bites, creamy garlic sauce, and cheesy tortellini, ideal for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Smoked paprika, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1¼ cups shredded parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Cracked black pepper, for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for 3-5 minutes, until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and milk. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese, letting it melt into the sauce until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the steak and tortellini to the skillet. Gently toss everything to coat in the creamy garlic sauce.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you like heat. Serve immediately!

Notes

Let your steak sit at room temperature for a better sear. Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
