Description

A creamy, crispy party snack that combines succulent shrimp and crab with a cheesy filling, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Mix the shrimp, crab, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso dip, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a mixing bowl until evenly combined.
  2. Take a tortilla and place 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in the center, rolling it tightly and securing with a toothpick.
  3. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Fry the tortillas for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crunchy.
  5. Remove the toothpicks, transfer to a plate, and drizzle warm queso over the top, garnishing with fresh cilantro.

Notes

For a spicier twist, consider adding diced jalapeños or using pepper jack cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
