Ingredients

  • 1 cup cookie butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  2. Cream together the cookie butter, brown sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the cookie butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
