Description
Sweet and buttery honey glazed carrots that are perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring it to a boil.
- Add the baby carrots and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
- Drain the carrots well and set them aside.
- In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the honey and salt. Let it simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly bubbly.
- Return the carrots to the pan and gently toss to coat them with the glaze.
- Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are glossy and heated through.
- Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a squeeze of lemon juice to the glaze.
