Description

Sweet and buttery honey glazed carrots that are perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the baby carrots and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
  3. Drain the carrots well and set them aside.
  4. In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Stir in the honey and salt. Let it simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly bubbly.
  6. Return the carrots to the pan and gently toss to coat them with the glaze.
  7. Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are glossy and heated through.
  8. Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a squeeze of lemon juice to the glaze.
