Description

A refreshing side dish featuring vibrant broccoli florets, sweet cranberries, crunchy sunflower seeds, and crispy bacon, all enveloped in a creamy dressing.


Ingredients

  • 5 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (or chopped almonds)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, diced red onion, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds (or almonds), shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for the flavors to meld perfectly.

Notes

Feel free to substitute sunflower seeds with your favorite nuts or use Greek yogurt for a healthier twist. For added crunch, toast sunflower seeds lightly before adding them to the salad.
