Description

A creamy, crispy side dish that’s a holiday staple, perfect for Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (or Cream of Celery Soup)
  • ½ cup 2% milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 4 cups cooked cut green beans
  • 1 ⅓ cups French’s® French Fried Onions (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 1½-quart casserole dish, combine soup, milk, soy sauce, green beans, and ⅔ cup of the French fried onions. Stir until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbling. Remove from oven and stir the mixture gently.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining ⅔ cup onions evenly over the top. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  4. Let rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

Pro Tips: Bite-sized version: Spoon the mixture into mini phyllo pastry cups and bake at 350°F for 7 minutes — perfect for appetizers. Make-ahead tip: Assemble the casserole (without onions) a day early, refrigerate, and bake fresh before serving. Variation: Substitute cream of celery soup for a lighter flavor twist.
