Description

Grilled chicken wings marinated in yogurt, lime, garlic, and cumin for a tangy, tender treat that’s perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes if not already)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (fresh)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the marinade. In a large bowl, stir together the yogurt, chopped cilantro, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the wings. Add the chicken wings and toss until every piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight gives the best flavor and tenderness).
  3. Preheat the grill. Heat your grill to medium-high. Clean the grates and lightly oil them to reduce sticking.
  4. Grill the wings. Place wings on the grill and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning every few minutes so they brown evenly.
  5. Check doneness. Wings are ready when they’re cooked through and the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
  6. Serve. Transfer to a platter. Add lime wedges and extra cilantro if you like, and serve right away.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor; overnight is ideal. Oiling the grill grates helps prevent sticking.
