Description
Indulge in crispy pan-seared chicken drizzled with a rich garlic butter sauce that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for the sauce)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to deglaze the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce simmer until it thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak up the garlic butter sauce for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Pound the chicken for even cooking and use fresh parmesan for better melting. Don’t rush the sauce to enhance garlic’s sweetness.
