Description
A comforting cherry dessert made with tender biscuit pieces and sweet cherry filling, perfect for gatherings and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- Refrigerated Pillsbury Grands Biscuits: 16.3 ounces
- Cherry Pie Filling: 21 ounces (1 can)
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Almond Extract: 1 teaspoon, divided
- Powdered Sugar: 1/2 cup
- Milk: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 365°F (185°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Combine the cherry pie filling, cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract in a mixing bowl until well combined.
- Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces and layer them at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the cherry filling mixture over the biscuit pieces, gently mixing to distribute.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden-brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract.
- Drizzle the glaze over the dessert while it’s still warm.
Notes
Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
