Description

A comforting cherry dessert made with tender biscuit pieces and sweet cherry filling, perfect for gatherings and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated Pillsbury Grands Biscuits: 16.3 ounces
  • Cherry Pie Filling: 21 ounces (1 can)
  • Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Almond Extract: 1 teaspoon, divided
  • Powdered Sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Milk: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 365°F (185°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Combine the cherry pie filling, cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces and layer them at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spoon the cherry filling mixture over the biscuit pieces, gently mixing to distribute.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden-brown on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly.
  7. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the dessert while it’s still warm.
