Description

A comforting dish of thinly sliced potatoes layered with creamy sauce and melted cheese, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 cups Potatoes (sliced thinly)
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 8 slices Thick Cut Smoky Bacon (cooked and chopped)
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • Fresh Herbs (such as parsley or chives for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half the potatoes, then pour half the sauce over them.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese and add half the bacon and onions.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, sauce, cheese, bacon, and onions.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs for added texture.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap the cream of chicken soup with a vegetarian alternative for a meat-free version. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
