Ingredients
- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped onion and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the layered potatoes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
