Description

A comforting and budget-friendly casserole combining ground beef, fluffy rice, and gooey cheese. Perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat it to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the Casserole: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble in Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake: Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly with melted, slightly golden cheese.
  7. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with a salad or crusty bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
