Description

A delightful Cajun-inspired pasta dish with succulent shrimp, creamy sauce, and colorful bell peppers, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun spice blend
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced bell peppers and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the shrimp and Cajun spice blend, cooking until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it simmer until the sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For restaurant-quality, use fresh shrimp instead of frozen. You can customize the spice level and add veggies like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
