Description

These light and fluffy buttermilk pancakes are perfect for a quick and comforting breakfast, with a tender interior and crisp edges.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan


Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir gently.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  6. Cook until bubbles form and edges look set.
  7. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
