Description

A spicy twist on a classic favorite with buffalo chicken, bacon, and blue cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust for spice level)
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce and tomato for toppings (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, hot sauce, blue cheese, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, ensuring they’re compact.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet to medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of crispy bacon on top of each patty and cover to allow it to melt slightly.
  5. Meanwhile, toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble your burger: place the patty on the bun, and top with lettuce and tomato if desired.
  7. Serve hot, with additional hot sauce on the side for those who like it extra spicy!

Notes

Don’t overmix the chicken to avoid tough patties. You can substitute ground turkey or beef if desired.
