Description
A nutrient-packed and delicious Broccoli Salad with a blend of creamy dressing and crunchy toppings.
Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh broccoli florets (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 8 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup red onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup roasted salted sunflower seeds
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
- While the bacon is cooking, wash and dry the broccoli, cutting into small florets.
- Finely chop the red onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli florets, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, cranberries, and sunflower seeds.
- Pour the dressing over the mixture and toss gently to coat. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter dressing, try using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
