Description

These Witch Hat Cookies are festive, fun, and easy to make, perfect for Halloween gatherings and kids’ parties.

Ingredients

  • 9 Hershey Kisses
  • 9 Fudge Stripes cookies (or substitutes: Oreos, fudge mint cookies, crinkle cookies)
  • 9 teaspoons decorating icing or writing gel (orange, purple, green)
  • Assorted Halloween sprinkles (confetti and jimmies)

Instructions

  1. Unwrap Hershey Kisses and flip Fudge Stripes cookies chocolate-side up.
  2. Pipe a circle of icing or writing gel around the center hole of each cookie.
  3. Place one Hershey Kiss in the center of the cookie, pressing gently into the icing.
  4. If using writing gel, pipe a small bow on the side of the Kiss for added detail.
  5. Decorate with Halloween sprinkles, pressing gently so they stick, and tilt cookies to remove any excess sprinkles.

Notes

Chill Hershey Kisses and cookies for 15 minutes before assembling to keep chocolate firm. Larger sprinkles or confetti work best; sanding sugar and nonpareils don’t adhere as well. Try different cookie bases or use Hershey Hugs for a unique variation.
