Description

A comforting, creamy pasta meal featuring ground beef and bowtie pasta, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500g) lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup medium onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 cups bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat, if desired. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Stir in the beef broth, heavy whipping cream, and bowtie pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  4. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and extra cheese, if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
