Description
A flavorful dish featuring spicy blackened shrimp and creamy cavatappi pasta, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cavatappi pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and keep aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Coat the shrimp with blackening seasoning and add them to the skillet. Cook until they are completely opaque—about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped bell pepper and garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts and blends into the sauce.
- Now, return both the cavatappi and the shrimp to the skillet. Stir gently to ensure that they are well immersed in the delicious sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
- Finish with chopped parsley as a fresh garnish before serving.
Notes
