Description
A flavorful dish featuring blackened salmon topped with a rich Dijon cream sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, letting them blacken, then flip and cook for another minute until fully cooked.
- Combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice in a separate saucepan. Heat gently until warmed through and well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper for the sauce.
- Plate the salmon, drizzle with Dijon cream sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter option, swap heavy cream with Greek yogurt. Avoid overcrowding the pan for a perfect sear.
