Description

A flavorful dish featuring blackened salmon topped with a rich Dijon cream sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, letting them blacken, then flip and cook for another minute until fully cooked.
  4. Combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice in a separate saucepan. Heat gently until warmed through and well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper for the sauce.
  6. Plate the salmon, drizzle with Dijon cream sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, swap heavy cream with Greek yogurt. Avoid overcrowding the pan for a perfect sear.
