Description

A simple yet impressive grilled salmon recipe infused with a rich, smoky flavor, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup lite soy sauce
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 6-oz. salmon fillets


Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a gallon-size ziplock bag: brown sugar, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, soy sauce, olive oil, water, and minced garlic. Seal the bag and gently squeeze to mix.
  2. Place the salmon fillets into the bag. Seal it again and refrigerate for 1 to 3 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Create a foil dish for each salmon fillet, folding up the sides to contain juices.
  5. Pour marinade over each fillet in the foil dish, skin side down.
  6. Grill for 15-18 minutes with the lid closed.
  7. Flip the salmon onto the grill for 1-2 minutes to sear the top, then serve hot.

Notes

Marinade overnight for deeper flavor. Use a cedar plank for added smokiness.
