Description

A comforting and flavorful dish that balances the richness of garlic and beef with perfect pasta, ideal for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne, spaghetti, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil (optional, for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and dried Italian seasoning to the beef and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and add the uncooked pasta, ensuring the pasta is submerged. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. For a creamier texture, add the heavy cream or milk and stir until smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs like parsley or basil.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or crusty garlic bread. For a twist, consider adding vegetables or using different cheeses.
