Description
Tender and flavorful BBQ chicken drumsticks made effortlessly in a slow cooker, finished with a crispy broil.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional spices: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken. Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper and optional spices.
- Load the slow cooker. Arrange drumsticks in the slow cooker and pour BBQ sauce over the top.
- Cook until tender. Cover and cook on LOW for 240–360 minutes or HIGH for 120–180 minutes.
- Broil for crispy edges. Transfer drumsticks to a baking sheet, brush with extra sauce, and broil.
- Caramelize. Broil for 3–5 minutes, watching closely.
- Finish and serve. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Pat chicken dry before seasoning for better browning. Keep an eye on the broiler to avoid burning.
